FP2002 Video file extensions

I am an absolute novice with videos. I've received a DVD which I'm trying to
add to my website using FP2002. The DVD contains a VIDEO_TS file folder with
files VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO and finally
VTS_01_1.VOB. (There is also an AUDIO_TS file folder, but it's empty).

The DVD has two clips, but I just need to use the first one, so figuring out
how to do that may be the second step.

My questions: what are these file extensions? Does FP accept them? I can
get Windows Media Player to open, but it does not play the clip. I've tried
to link to each of the files with no success.

Can anyone help me?

These are raw DVD files and not suitable for playing on the internet. You
would probably need to use video editing software such as Pinnacle Systems
or Adobe Premier (maybe Premier Elements) to be able to convert segments of
the DVD into something usable through the internet, such as a windows movie
(wmv). The files that you have require DVD decoding codecs installed on the
computer to be able to play them which is why Windows Media player isn't
playing the video segments.
