FP2003 discussion requirements

S

Stan Hilliard

I currently have a FP discussion with FP2000 extensions on Unix.

I am aware that FP discussions cannot run with FP2002 extensions
because the messages formats scramble. (Paragraphs run together.)

If I upgrade to FP2003 and buy SharePoint Portal Server 2003, will I
be able to run my discussion forum?

With Windows OS?

With Unix OS?

Information will be appreciated, Stan Hilliard

Stan,

There are no FP2003 extensions, only FP2002, so if you continue to use the
FP Discussion web under FP2003, it will use the FP2002 extensions.

Share Point requires a Windows IIS Server.

Will FP2003 work with FP2000 extensions so that I can retain my
current FP discussion web?

I would think yes, but you would loose the ability to use any other FP2002
features that are available in FP2003.
