FP2003 - Ruler Units/Table Layout ?

B

OK... caved in and bought it... a few questions:

I've set the ruler for "2 pixel" units. However, it continues to use
10 pixel settings. Is there some way to zoom the window (cross my
fingers and praise the Lord if so) or something else I can do to see
a finer pixel graduation ?

Also, is there some way to see the exact pixel position of something
like a table border (maybe a status field or similar) without going
into table layout mode ?

Lastly, in some areas of the page I can click on a table cell and
see the "table layout information" (e.g. the table goes green and
I can see the cell width displayed in little boxes) But, this does
not work for all tables... only a couple on a page (and all the
tables are the same). Is this a "feature" and can I get it to work
in all tables ?

Thanks,

I doubt you could see 2 px on your screen, especially at higher resolution, except as a blur
If you are using absolute positioning use Code view
View task Pane, Select the layout Tables and cells and Show layout Tool

Exactly. That's why they should have given us a zoom feature (it's
missing, unless I missed it). I'm not sure why every other MS Office
program can give us a zoom feature but FP can't. Anyone who does
professional design has to get down to the single pixel level to
lay things out properly.

Yeah... I think I was expecting to see both table cells and tables
outlined... I have figured out that it only outlines the tables, not
the individual cells.

I just figured it out. The pixel setting only applies to the "grid".
You can't change the ruler settings. Lame.
