I have asked this question earlier, but no resolution as yet.
I have installed FP2003 on a laptop running Window XP Pro, Office 2003 - all
latest updates
When I create a new web that includes a search.htm template and/or when I
publish from ISP a web previously created with FP2000 that uses the search
template I cannot get this page to work.
[ Front Page Error
User: please report details to this site's webmaster
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details]
I have even followed this advice:
Make WAIS Available for All Web Sites
To make the WAIS Search available to all of the virtual servers on your IIS
Web server, follow these steps: 1. At the server, click Start, point to Run,
and then type regedit.
2. Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server
Extensions\All Ports
3. Right-click All Ports, click New, and then click String Value.
4. For the name of the string, type noindexserver.
5. Double-click the string.
6. For the value of the string, type 1.
7. Quit the Registry Editor.
But there was no difference.
When I created a home page and search template page in a root I have no
problems with the search page. Is there some difference between set-up of
FP2000 and FP2003?
I have one laptop running FP2000, Window XP Pro, Office 2000 - all with
latest updates and I have no problem with the search template page.
I would like to use Fp2003, so any suggestion/help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Veronika
