Is there a way to force Frontpage 2000 to always open in Folder View
when you start the program initially? I'm always in and out of the
program and switching back from NewPage is getting boring.
Thanks.

Thanks - but this is already enabled. It just opens at "new_page_1.html"
in the web I open, assuming I want a new file each time I open FP which
I do NOT. I'd like to see the folder view automatically each time I open FP.

FP will in most case always open with a new page, which you can ignore, just double click on a file
in the folder view, it will open and replace the current default new page. FP works the same as
Word, were a new document is create when you open it.

Mine ALWAYS opens the last site in folder view even if i close with a page open.
The only exception is if I open a page using the ie edit.

Same here except the last option
| FP2003 opens with a new page (in code view)

- only if you closed the last page in code view before you exited FP
(otherwise it will be either split or design view - whichever you were in)

|
| FP2000 opens with a new page

There is an addin for no new page that will close the new page (in most cases)
See http://www.jimcoaddins.com/

Hi Mr. Rusynko,
Thanks for the addin note. That should do the trick. Just another
example of why/how hackers actually started - to add embellishments that
program designers missed or couldn't be bothered with. Bill Gates - are
you listening?

It is not that it was missed or they couldn't be bothered with adding it, but that all Office
application share some basic common function/features, and such as automatically creating a new
document when launched, which is something that ALL Office apps do, unless you click on a document
to launch the app.
