The best way I've found to do it is to highlight the cells
you'll be entering the time data in. Either press Ctrl-1
or go to format-cells on your main menu. At the top of
the format box, click on the number tab. Then, on the
list on the left, click on time. It gives you several
options as far as time formats. Click on the one that
reads 37:30:55. This is the best choice because unlike
the one that reads 13:30:55, it will allow you to keep
values that are greater than 24:00:00. (The 13:30:55 will
change a value greater than 24 into a day).
