I am designing a spreadsheet for aid in my betting calculaions and have hi a
snag which seems beyond me.

The problem is I need to show fractions in their lowest common form i.e. 7/2
and not 13/4 as my formula calculates.

Can anyone help with this small problem.

Not sure how your formula works, as you didn't post it, but perhaps
=NumeratorFormula/DenominatorFormula

and

custom format cell as ???/???

This would automatically reduce your fraction to lowest common denominator.
(including values which are integers, such as 2/1)

Hi,

Basically, the formula converts a percentage value to a number and the
resultant answer is formatted with ??/?

=IF(C6="","",(1/E6)-1)

In this instance C6 = 9/4 and E6 23.4%

This produces the fraction 13/4 when formatted.... this is my problem as
this is 7/2. I want to reduce the fraction to one that is recognisible in
betting terms.

Hope this makes things clearer.

What would make a fraction "recognisible in betting terms"? I ask because
13/4 is not equal to 7/2 (divide them out to see they are not equal to each
other), so what determines how numbers which are not "recognisible in
betting terms" are rounded to produce one that is?
