Framework X library and address book

Hi!
I'm using Office X and get an annoying error message when I start up
word and excel. It says I have an error in my framework X library. I
have ignored till today when I thought I would print out some labels
to get some cards in the mail. The address book is grayed out and not
available on word however I do have address in entourage. The help
files say that these 2 programs use the same address book but I can't
seem to open it in word. Thanks for any information that is available
out there.

Hi Jules,

Any chance you did any uninstalling/reinstalling lately and didn't empty the
trash? You might then have an old Framework Library hanging around. Empty
the trash (you may have to reboot to do it) and see if that helps.

Word and Entourage *do* use the same address book. Are you saying that when
you go to the Tools menu item, Address Book is grayed out? I don't know why
that should be. Is anything else on the Tools menu also grayed out?

However ... you can access addresses by activating the Contacts Toolbar
(from the View menu). Insert the Contact whose address (or email or phone)
you want and the name of the Contact will be inserted. Select the name and
then the other options will become active and you can choose what you like
(address, email and/or phone).
