free academic visio software?

How could I download the free academic visio software?
I have to do some flow charts - EDR-Entity Relation Diagrams,
for my beginning software class. They include:

entities: student
attributes: name
Primary key:SID student id #
relations &
cardinality ratio: n:n

I was told I could download the software for school purposes.
Please help!

AFAIK the only 'free' is the trial version which is time-locked. It's over
on the office site.
