We continue to have some major usage problems with using Entourage 2004 with
SP2 and Exchange 2003.
Our server(s) are configured such that the Front End server demands the use
of SSL and the Back End server does NOT respond to SSL.
I assume that the free/busy information is stored in the Public folder.
We have Entourage 2004 configured to access the Front End server in all
cases such that the Advanced tab has:
frontend.domain.org/public w/ SSL checked.
Free/busy WILL be displayed properly IF an event is created on the person's
own Exchange calendar. However, if the person has established a connection
to another person's calendar, free/busy is NOT displayed for events created
on it.
This is a serious problem because in our environment we have Admin
Assistants who are delegated to manage other people's calendars. As it
stands now, if the Admin Assistant creates an event on the SHARED calendar
and invites people to the meeting, she is UNABLE to view the free/busy of
the individuals in the Scheduling pane.
