We are using the Group Schedule feature of Exchange
2003/Outlook 2003 to schedule appointments for field
staff. The two dispatchers open the Group Schedule, and
schedules an appointment by right-clicking on a time slot,
selecting "New Meeting as Resource" and creating the
appointment. The appointment immediately appears on both
the dispatcher and the field staff member's respective
calendars. However, the free/busy info is not updated
right away and may take hours to refresh and update the
Group Schedule.
We've tried setting the update free/busy to server option
to 1 minute, and tried manual refreshing from the Group
Schedule view. We also have the field staff member's
options set to automatically accept a meeting when
scheduled as a resource.
Strangely, when a new appointment is added, this seems to
trigger the refresh of the free/busy on the Group Schedule
for the prior appointment, forcing it to appear in the
group schedule.
Anyone know of this issue and workarounds?
