Anyone received their free copy of Office 2003 Professional from the Launch
Event? I received an email last week saying that it was mailed out USPS the
day before Thanksgiving, but nothing has arrived yet. Just wondering

Thanks - I figured I would wait the full two weeks, I just wondered if
anyone else expecting it received it. I typically don't have a problem with
the mail.

If yours doesn't arrive within a few days you'll need to contact the people
who sent the email for more information, they don't monitor these
newsgroups.

Karl--

Since it was sent via US mail, it is probably going to take 2-3 weeks. It
was sent first class the way you mail a snail mail letter. I've found that
due to whatever "security "now, x-ray, what used to take me a couple days
from the East Coast can take two weeks, and I'm on the East Coast.

Like commercial air travel, the U.S. mail has been made more cumbersome and
inefficent, with the illusion it's been made a scintilla more secure. I
haven't received mine either. It's mailed out for Microsoft by a Seattle
company called Catalysis http://www.catalysis.com/ who adopts different
email aliases and they can be emailed at (e-mail address removed) . However,
answering your email inquiry isn't something they do well, if they can do it
at all.

Received mine yesterday, December 5. Installed it easily earlier today.
I've noticed that when I close everything and walk away from the
machine, that in a while my web browser has opened. I close it and a
while later I notice it has opened again. Not sure why yet. I've just
turned off the new "online" frame that opens by default on the right of
the Office window. Waiting to see if that eliminates the problem.

Moot subject as I received mine in the mail today. However, thanks for the
replies.
