Free easy to use drawing programs?

Excusie me if this may not be the proper group but I have searched and
can not find an easy to use simple drawing program that I can download
for free. I just want to be able to draw squares, rectangles, ovals
and perhaps circles and then paste text inside of them. All I have is
microsoft word and I can not do that in that program. Any help is very
appreciated.

Yes you can.

e.g.

Turn off automatic Drawing canvas in Options

Draw a circle and specify text wrapping to behind text (little dog icon)
Draw a text box and specify No Fill for fill color and no line for line
color. Select text box and drag it over circle.
