Free Rotate

Greetings from Downunder
I have a student in my PPT class with an odd problem ... unable to make the
pic/clipart/whatever rotate. The little handle to grab for rotating is
missing -- and the commands in "draw" are greyed out.
Using Windows 2000, Office 2000
Any ideas? All help always appreciated

Sometimes images must be converted to a Microsoft Object that can be
rotated. Try right-clicking on the object and select "Grouping", "Ungroup".
You might be asked if you want to convert, just say "OK". At this point you
can immediately regroup the pieces if you don't want to change them and now
you should be able to rotate it, etc.

This is also great for changing colors of pieces/parts of clipart images!

cj,

The little handle for rotating (I think) appeared in powerpoint 2002 version.

The 2002 version can rotate just about anything (bitmaps/pictures/clipart)

Older versions could only rotate an object that was classed as being a powerpoint object (e.g. ungrouped clipart) or
something draw in powerpoint.
