Free text custom field are not availbe for cube dimensions

Hi I Have about 10 Enterprise custom fields. Only field that are linked with
lookup tables are listed as a available fields for Cube Dimensions, Cude
configuration. Any one know why and how can I make free text custom fields
availble so that I can add under Cude dimentsions.

Free text fields do not qualify as dimensions. This violates basic tenets of
OLAP design and is not supported.
