Hi chaps
we would like to use Project and PWA to record lots of details about
our projects, including risks and objectives.
How I envisage this working is that the project manager enters the
risks etc, in free text, using a new "line" for each one. Then using
Project views making them visible to the relevant audience.
They will very likely add new risks etc as the project progresses.
Is it possible to achieve this, and if so how might i go about doing
it?
thanks ever so much for any advice, you guys make me look like a hero!

Why aren't you using the built-in Risk tracking capabilities that ship with
Project Server?

um, does this not require us to have sharepoint?
if it does then we're arguing the toss with the beancounters about
letting us buy it!
if not, then I'm not sure how to do this.

thanks for the advice Dale!

I assumed you were using the SharePoint features of Project Server, which
are the Risks, Issues, and Documents sections of the system. If you are not
using SharePoint, then ask your Project Server administrator to create a
custom enterprise Project text field called Risk. Hope this helps.

I'm the administrator for Project and I've created a custom field
called Risk.
There may be more than one risk though, which means creating multiple
custom fields. We were hoping that there might be a way to create a
free text field with more than one "line" to accommodate multiple
risks/objectives etc.
Any ideas?
thanks so much
