freeze "columns" like in Excel

I have a form that has quite a number of fields that extend to the right...is
there a way for me to freeze certain fields (i.e. in excel, where i can
freeze column A-C) ? i know how to do it in datasheet view, but this needs to
be viewed in "Form view"

any solutions?

I'd suggest using a Continuous Form and wrapping the fields onto two
or more lines so there is no need to scroll horizontally.

This could be done using multiple subforms, but it would be a major
pain to set up - there is no automatic "freeze columns" in form view.
