Freeze Panes disabled

Hi, Guys,

I have been using Excel for 17 years or so, but over the past few
years on a PC - I have just (happily) switched back to Mac.

I am finding, however, that consistently the Freeze Panes function
seems to be disabled. I pull the divider down or to the left as I
have for years but when I go to freeze them in Tools, it is grayed
out...any ideas why?

Ooops, just figured it out - doesn't work in page layout - works fine
in Normal.
