Freeze Panes - Why Not Twice?

I'm just wondering if & how it is possible to freeze panes in TWO locations.
I have a very simple (but long) table in the following (simplified) form:

Can't tell from your problem statement what you're looking for. You
could certainly hide rows that you don't want to display.

Or you could use multiple windows (Window/New Window).

There may be other methods, but you'd need to explain a bit more for me
to make a suggestion.

post (but sent tems is?).

I basically want two rows to be fixed, at the top & bottom of the worksheet,
with the option to scroll between the (approx' 200) rows inbetween. The top
row is a title row, and the bottom a 'total' row; I can freeze one row, via
freeze panes, but it won't allow 'freeze panes' in two locations. I want the
title & total rows on screen all the time, with the data scrollable for
editing etc.

Sorry if it wasn't clear - my email client is showing the full text of the

post (but sent tems is?).

There is an Entourage bug where the lines with periods and spaces are
considered as "end of message" signals and therefore will not be fully
downloaded. But "good old" Outlook Express (in Classic environment) will show
the whole message (including the period-space lines).

As to your request, JE's reply will be the only possible workaround to have
the total line at the bottom : get the "New Window" item from the "Window"
menu and then adjust the sizes of the two windows on the same workbook in
order to see the total line at the bottom. It's not really satisfying, but
will help you when creatin the workbook and checking the results on the fly.

If you want to have the total on a permanent basis, then you'll have to use
the workaround Havey indicated. You can even have the total line at the
bottom (in order to have it at it's "right" place when printing) and
duplicate it topmost (in row 1) in order to see it permanently, but excluding
this line from the print area.

As all have indicated it will take a little time to set it up as you want,
so if you need to work this way often don't forget about the Save Workspace
command in the File menu. That way you can reopen the workspace file without
having to repeatedly reconfigure your windows.

Cheers Bernard -I really couldn't underatand why some respondents were
obviously looking at the full post but some couldn't see it all (I used
periods to indicate rows!). Well I won't be doing that again.

And thanks all for the suggestions - it's not 2 freezes but certainly
workable so nice one! (Note to M$ - Why not two freezes?)
