In the Windows version of Excel you can freeze a row (such as the header row) so you can see your column headings as you scroll thru many pages. When I try to freeze the panes in the Mac version of Excel, the Freeze Panes command is grayed out. How do I get the row to freeze?

Most likely because you're not in Normal View. You can't apply Freeze Panes
while in Page Layout View. Likewise if you have the feature active it will
be turned of when you switch from Normal to Page Layout.
