FreezePanes on a Row without using an ActiveWindow object

I believe that Freezing Panes is the only operation in VBA that requires you
to Select a cell, so no, you can't do it the way you want. You must use
Select.

Is it possible to as make a FreezePanes assignment without using a
Select and an ActiveWindow?

Instead of:

rows("2:2").Select
ActiveWindow.FreezePanes = True

something like

Sheets("MySheet").Rows("2:2").FreezePanes = True
