Hello Dear:
Would you please advice whether we can freeze first few fields in the Gantt
view while we are working on the other fields similar to excell spread sheet?
It is very convinient to do freeze the columns because we do not have to go
back and forth while updating the same row
Please advise
Thank you
Majid

Hi,

You can only freeze the first column. However in VBA there is no need
whatsoever to move the cursor to do any of your programming, so what is it
you are trying to do?

Hi Rod,
I am using MS project professional. the inforamtion from the first three
fields for every (row) project is important while completing the other 22
related fields on each row. Since we do not see all the fields in one view
when we get to the last fields we have to go back to the first row and read
the inforamtion from first three rows and back again to the last fields and
complete. The dangor of doing this is that we may accidantally enter info.
to the above or below cells when dealing with 200 projects ( rows)
in Excell we can freeze the cell so that when we move to the right of the
screen the freezed fields does not move.
I hope I could explain it
Please advise

Hi,

You have posted in a VBA developer group, hence my VBA reply. as said beforeYou could do windows split and put a different task view at the bottom. You
could then see the first three columns in the lower screen whilst working on
the top screen.
