Freezing

Processor: intel

I am an Office 2008 user.
I am satisfied about the product but I have to report on a costant problem.
I have often a freezing of the program withou any apparent reason.It happens especially after a period of inactivity of the computer and/or when I want quit from Word.

have no apparent explanation!

If you changed the extension of the file, that is a likely cause.

Have you applied update 12.0.1?

Which language are you working in?

What disk is the open document saved to?
