Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hello,

I had a look at all the forum entries on the topic and I tried everything so I don't know what I am hoping but hey here it is...

Every time I try to do an OVERALL check the error message comes up saying "there was un unexpected error in the grammar check, the grammar check canno't be completed"

If I check through the document and correct the mistakes individually then it's fine but it won't do it OVERALL and if I try then it get's stuck and loses all the grammar mistakes in the text

My computer is french but word is british could that be a problem?
Obviously it works fine when I use the grammar check for English UK.

I have honestly tried to do all the possibilities in the forums do you have any fresh ideas?

cheers

No useful suggestions, I am afraid.

Grammar and Spelling in French is flaky to say the least: we may be unable
to solve this for you.

Word changes spelling and grammar language according to the language marked
in the text, sentence by sentence. Check that ALL the text in the document
is formatted into the French language, using Tools>Language...

Don't forget the headers and footers and any footnotes or comments you have.

And if there are any tracked changes in the document, resolve (accept or
reject) them.

It "might" work. No promises, sorry...

Cheers

Yeah, I use Antidote (Druide.com - commercial) when I want to seriously
tackle French spelling and grammar.
Regardless, make really sure Office is perfectly up to date as several
proofing related issues have been corrected along the update path.
