Frequent corruption of large database

J

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange Our administrative assistant is a delegate on a number of staff's email accounts, and her Database has grown to > 30 GB. As the database has grown, so has the database corruption frequency, and now a weekly event; rebuilds take 4+ hrs. Painful.

Have we exceeded a practical design limit on Entourage? Is there a more efficient way to organize mail data when working as Delegate? [NB for business purposes we need to retain email indefinitely]

Many thanks.

It¹s best not to rebuild an Exchange database. You often introduce problems
that get synced back to the server. I would create a new Identity and let
Entourage download from the server.

Entourage has no size limit, just a limit to the number of items in the
Entourage database: 2 million database items. I suspect at 30GB you might
have hit that limit. More info:
