Frequent Crashes

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

I'm plagued with almost daily crashes of Word, Powerpoint and Entourage, applications that I use constantly. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason - I just get a dialog that says the app must shut down. I've rebuilt the office database (reported not probs), have the latest version, repaired permissions on my iMac (no probs). To avoid getting burned, I save my work about every three seconds! Anything else I can do? Thanks.

Testing in a new User will quickly tell you if the problem is system wide or
if it's your User's folder that contains the problem.

It's also possible your problems are tied to your Leopard install. If you
did the Update method, it's possible this is part of your problem. You can
try running the Apple combo updater and see if that helps. It certainly
won't hurt. If it is your system files and the combo doesn't fix them, you
will need to do an "Archive & Install".

Thanks for the tip, Diane. I didn't think I had gotten a reply. I'll check this out and post back. Initially, I had problems with my Leopard install (update). Thanks again.
