Frequent Frontpage extensions object corruption

M

Mitch

Hello...

I have been having a problem since I upgraded from iis5 to iis6 with
Frontpage Extension objects (such as page counters) becoming corrupt. The
counter file increments as it should but will not display on the page (just
a box with the x). I delete the page counter and insert it again, then
republish and all is fine for a period of time then it corrupts again and I
have to delete and recreate again....

All I could find on the Microsoft site was this article...
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...port/kb/articles/Q223/0/08.ASP&NoWebContent=1

Is there a fix for this? Is there something I can do to mitigate this?

By any chance is someone publishing using ftp:// instead of http:// if so it will "break" the
extensions.
