frequently used slides

I do lots of different presentation, but many of them have some of the same slides used over and over again. The problem I have is this: if I decide to change one of those frequently-used slides, I have to go into every presentation and change each separate occurrence of the slide.

Is there any way, either using powerpoint or a third-party product, that I can set up a presentation so that when I go to slide #x it will link automatically to a specific slide in a master presentation? as near as I can tell, hyperlinks won't do the trick...I want to be able to just go to a specific slide and have it be the one I want, rather than clicking on a hyperlink on a slide to get it.

thanks.

Hi,

PowerPoint has just such a feature built-in.

Build your big presentation just the way you like, then use the Slide
Show menu. Choose Custom shows. Create as many different combinations of
your slides as you like, in any order that you want. Give each show a name.

All you have to do is change a slide in your base presentation, and all
of the custom shows are updated instantly.
