From Office 2003 to Office 2007

I am at present using Genuine Office 2003 but I now possess a Genuine Office
2007,
I would like to uninstall 2003 and then install Office 2007 instead. Can I
do this? If I do this I lose my Documents? How can I do this without
losing contacts in Outlook 2003 and Favorites in IE. Thanks!

Why bother to uninstall;? just upgrade over the top......

Your data files will remain, but in any case you should have backups of
data.
Office has no connection with IE

You can un-install Office 2003 from Control Panel, Add/Remove or you just
install Office 2007 and allow the installation program to uninstall those
Office 2003 applications being replaced by new Office 2007 versions. Office
2003 applications not included in your Office 2007 package will be left
intact.

With either approach your documents, Outlook 2003 contacts and other data
will normally be left intact. If you want to be safe if you have an system
failure during the installation, just ensure you have a current backup of
your documents and *pst files. Keeping current backups is a good approach
even if you are not installing new applications.
