From Office 2K to 2003

After upgrading from Office 2k Pro to Office 2003, I
noticed that office 2K still show in my "Add Remove
programs", is it safe to remove it?

If there are programs from your XP version not included on your Office 2003 version, no, you will need the installation files for any upgrades/updates to those XP programs plus your installation cd's, etc... for best results
Upgrades/updates for further versions of your current suite of Office products may require these files. Once removed they are not easily replaced
