I
Inky
I am having formatting trouble with a 239 page manuscript created in
MS Works. I do not recall which version of Works but I ran it under
Windows 3.x and Windows 95.
I had not problem opening it and saving it to Word (2002) format. I
have no problem editing either. However, when looking at the document
on screen in Print Layout View, on the left the white representing the
paper extends beyond the 8.5" allotted. When printing, the printer
automatically resizes to allow for the ghost space so the text is
smaller than it should be and the right and bottom margins are huge.
If I copy and paste a single page into a blank document, it does not
carry over the formatting problem. However, if I try to copy over the
whole document (even when excluding the first and last pages), the
problem recurs.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
