Fromatting tags on right side of document

I just converted to windows XP at my office and am using
Word 2002. However, when I work with templates in Word
now if I make any formatting changes- such as deleting a
cell row- there is a tag on the right side summarizing
the change. The Tag has a dotted line linking it to
where the change was made. Not only is this annoying to
view but the document is auto shrunk from the full page
size so that the additional tags can fit on the right
hand margin. I've tried to fool around with the auto
format settings but I haven't found anything that helps.

any help is appreciated

Hi James

What you're seeing is the effect of track changes. Word is keeping track of any change you make in the document. To get back to
"normal", you need to do two things.

First, you must accept all the tracked changes in the document. View > Toolbars. Select Reviewing. On the Reviewing toolbar, find
the button with a blue tick. Click the little arrow beside it to choose to accept all the tracked changes.

Second, you must turn off Track Changes so Word will stop recording changes. To do that, double-click on the TRK on the status bar.
When TRK is bold, Track Changes is on. When it is grey, Track Changes is off.

Hope this helps.
