FronPage 2000 cannot parse server response

I have started getting the error "ther server sent a response FrontPage
cannot parse. check server extensions are correctly installed." After
getting this the first time I uninstalled/reinstalled extensions on the
server to verify they were ok. [and lost all my page counter values
durnit] and it seemed to work. Now it has started again. I know the
extensions are ok. Any ideas on how to fix or what the problem is?
