I use Front Page 2000 as a stand alone program to create and edit web pages.
It constantly crashes and stops responding.
Computer is Intel Pentium III 800, 640 Mb Ram, XP sp2, plenty of hard disk
space, Norton 2005 Anti Virus. I use Ad Aware and SpyBot S&D regularly.
Is there some way to speed up Front Page 2000 when working on a large web
page? I turn off Norton and shut down any big running programs.
I assume the problem is the size and type of page I am working on that
causes FP to stop responding. The page is a large table, 14 narrow columbs
wide with 300 lines converted from Excel and cleaned up by Microsoft Code
Filter.
Is there a Front Page version that is faster and can handle more those
demands? Or should I look to a different HTML editor?
