Hello;
I have been having some very strange expierences with Front Page extensions
the past week. The server that I use to publish my web page does support the
extensions and also allows users to "uninstall and reinstall" the extensions.
I began using a form within my web pages and would get somewhat expected
results the first time I uploaded them. When I edited them on my home system
and uploaded again, I would get very bizzare results. Almost as if it were
using older versions of my webpage files.
Through the process of trial and error (this took quite a few hours of time)
I found that if I wanted to change the forms, I would first need to Uninstall
the extensions on the server, upload the changed web page forms from my
machine, then reinstall the extensions. I know, this sounds very strange but,
if I altered the procedure, the changes would not work.
The reason I ask the question is that it takes about a half hour to
uninstall and reinstall the extensions on the server so it can prove to be
time consuming when making changes. Has anyone else seen this? If so, is
there another, perhaps shorter workaround?
Thanks much.
