Front Page 2003 upgrade

I was using FP 2002 and just did a new install of 2003 thinking i would get
additional tools such as a jump menu. When i open the site i find the web
components option greyed out and i do not see an option for inserting jump
menu. What exactly are the benefits going from 2002 onto 2003?

Mostly, FP 2003 was a stabler and slightly easier to use product. There
wasn't much functionality added that I can think of, other than perhaps a
bit more in the way of ASP.Net functionality being offered for the database
results.

Split code/design view...wasn't that intro'd in 2003? For me that was worth
the price of admission.

For web components, make sure you have a site open.
Tools->Page Options - Authoring tab, tick the boxes: "Browse-time Web
Components" and "Author-time web components". Also tick Navigation if
you use FP navigation. Dynamic Web Templates are better than shared
borders, if you must use shared borders tick that box as well.
Also tick CSS 1.0 and 2.0, and set browsers to Custom.

Browse time components requires FrontPage extensions on the server.
While on this page, clear the box "VML graphics" - VML will always give
you problems.

You will find Jump Menu on the behaviours task pane - View->Task Pane,
and change the drop down at the top to Behaviours.
