Front page 98

I have recently purchased a new computer running XP. I am trying to load
Frontpage 98 to the new computer. The old computer no longer has internet
access. The problem is:

1. the CD is inserted however the installation screen does not pop up.
2. The run dialogn box has D:/install/setup.exe but it indicates something
is there and does not allow me to proceed.

Is this version of Frontpage 98 too old for the new computer to recognize?
It is trying to open it as a media file. I know there are other free programs
to download from the internet but I thought maybe this has a chance of
working.

FP98 is not very compatible with Windows XP. Some people have luck
installing, most do not.

Use 98 as an upgrade path to a newer version.
