It all started three days earlier. While publishing my site using Front Page

Have you spoken with your host's customer support as it
says in the error message you are receiving?

We've got the exact same problem here!

Our 2000 advance server just quit allowing anyone
to publish frontpage webs. We are hosting about
10 webs.

We are now considering just dumping Frontpage
completely?!?!?!?!

What has changed on the server, what updates have been applied since the last time someone was able
to publish?

What firewall application or Anti-Virus application have been installed on the client machine and/or
server, etc?

Captain...

Over the last year, we have only updated the
server with critical updates.

We are not using any type of firewall or anti-virus
programs on the server.

Strange thing: one user can upload single files,
(one at a time), but when he tries to publish
the whole site, it just sends a couple of files,
then stops.

So, what makes you feel you don't have an infected or compromised server?

Captain

It "could" be compromised now,(but that is not what I think would
of caused this).

After no-one could log in to make changes anymore, we removed
the anti-virus, moved the server from out behind the firewall, blew
up the dir, created new login accounts, but still no-one can log in
and make changes?!?!?!

Note: Is there is straight forward check list somewhere, that I
could use to make sure I'm setting up the permissions correctly
for a frontpage web?
