Front Page quits after opening

Hi,
I purchased and have been using FP 2000 for some years. I just loaded it on
to a new laptop running Vista. (Last laptop was running it on XP Pro) It
loaded fine, and opened OK, but when I opened my existing web page(s), it
opened the page I selected, but then a dialogue box appears atop the page and
I got a message "MFP application has stopped working.
A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will
close and notify you if a solution is available." It doesn't close
automatically, but sits there. After I close it, nothing.
I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks.

Did you do a custom install and set it to "Not" install PWS ( personal web server )?

If not, uninstall it, and then reinstall using Custom install and do not install PWS.

I took your advice and I un-installed and re-installed using Custom. But it
didn't offer a PWS feature. I opened all "+"s and there was no PWS (personal
web server). I continued with the re-install and tried it again - still won't
open. I also tried the "Repair" option and it didn't change. Although I
didn't re-boot, because there was no note saying that to complete the install
I would have to. I'm going to try it anyway. Any other possibilities?

Check the system event logs for errors and see what it says about FrontPage.
