Front Page refuses to open any pages with an error report on my PC

I have been using FP 2003 for years. Recently my old PC began to act up after
upgrading to office 2007 and IE8 and it gave me the Blue Screen of Death.
Eventually I managed to reformatted the HD and reloaded my software I then
downloaded my website through WSFTP and tried to work on my website but can
not open any pages to edit as I get an error "Error Retrieving "index.htm" -
the connection timed out or was aborted by the server. That of course is
rubbish as I had downloaded correctly, and in fact redownloaded everything
again very carefully, but I can still not access my web pages to edit on my
PC. Can anyone suggest a solution Please?
