Front page wont allow me to insert pictures

I've been working in Front Page all morning and suddenly, it won't let me
insert any pictures. The system keeps telling me that it doesn't recognize
the format.

Correction. Images that I uploaded from my camera are not being accepted.
They are JPEG images. Front page says that it does not accept the format.
What do I have to do to the photos for Front page to accept them? I have
reduced the size and they still are not accepted.

Verify that the format is JPEG (JPG) with a subformat of RGB, not CYMK.

Open the images from your camera in your image editing software program,
resize them, make other corrections and then optimize them for the
web...saving as jpegs. Then import them into an images folder before using
them on your pages.

in addition; try changing the extension to .jpg instead of .JPEG
you offloaded the images from your camera to your hd drive first, then
resized and optimized them prior to importing them into FP web..right?

Thank you guys so much for your responses! I found the problem. I had the
photos filed in a folder that had the "#" sign in the name. I removed the
"#" and frontpage accepted the photos.
