FrontPage 2000 on IIS 6.0

Patti

We have a search component created in FrontPage 2000 that
worked.

We upgraded the server to Windows 2003 with IIS 6.0, and I
was told that the FrontPage extensions were upgraded to
FrontPage 2003. The Search Component no longer works.
We get a "Page cannot be displayed error" with the
following:

Technical Information (for support personnel)

Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a
title search for the words HTTP and 405.
Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager
(inetmgr), and search for topics titled Setting
Application Mappings, Securing Your Site with Web Site
Permissions, and About Custom Error Messages.

When I save the search component, I get a FronPage Search
Component Error.

Any clues on whether this is a FrontPage 2003 extensions
error or IIS 6.0 error? And, is there a fix?

Patti,

There are no FrontPage 2003 Server Extensions.

I suspect the problem is that the FrontPage Server Extensions are not
allowed in IIS 6. You can do that by clicking the Web Service Extensions
node in IIS and clicking the Allow button.
