FrontPage 2002 clipboard problem

V

Victor Zaslavsky

Hi folks,

On my computer FrontPage 2002 10.6308.6817 SP3 always sticks after the
following operation sequence:
1. Open JPEG image with Microsoft Photo Editor 3.0.2.3
2. Select part of image and press Ctrl-C
3. Choose Edit -> Paste as New Image
4. Open existing .htm file for editing with FrontPage
5. Select text with link to somewhere
6. Press Ctrl-C

At that stage the message "Cannot open clipboard" appears. The document
window cannot be closed. The FrontPage application can not be closed any
more, only killed.

Because what you have on the clipboard is not an "image" but a bunch of
binary code in memory that represents the section of the image you have cut.
While still in Photo editor you need to clear the photo editor screen, and then paste what you have cut into it.
The click Save as, give it a name and select a file extension.
Then Photo Editor will create the new image.
Then import the image into your site and link to it.
