FrontPage 2002 Question

Charliec

I've created a web page in FP2002 in which I want to embed some pictures
(jpg files). When I insert the picture (Insert/picture/from file), the
picture is inserted and then it must be saved to the folder holding the
html page for it to continue to be displayed in the web page. I thought
when you inserted the picture, it was embedded in the document/webpage and
you did not have to include the actual jpg file in the folder.

What am I missing here?
Thanks
Charlie

When you insert an image, you're actually inserting a link into the
code for the page. The link points to the place FrontPage will save
the file.

There is no such thing as embedding an image, sound, or whatever other
content, into a webpage -- all you do is embed a link into the
webpage. You still have to have the file itself on your webserver.
