FrontPage 2003 addon domains

Jim

Hello,
I am new here and new to maintaining a website. I am using FrontPage 2003and
I have no problem with my home site. When I tried to include an addon site I
ran into problems. I got the pages together and could not make the
www.address connect to the index.html of the addon site. I called support and
they promptly resolved the problem. When I went to update the main site it
took over the addon site. I called again and the problem was quickly fixed.
Then I tried to update the addon site and when I finished the address leads
to a list of folders, one being public_html. When I click that folder the
site is there. I know I can call again but I would like to find out what I am
doing wrong. Can anyone tell me what I can do to stay off the phone?

Be well,

Jim

How did you try to include your "add-on" site.
Since your site is on an Apache/UNIX server ( public_html tells me so ) you
or your host need to add your subsite to the DNS entries

I think that if your domain is www.myweb.com then the subsite needs to be
www.subsite.myweb.com

But you need to check with your host for the exact procedure.
