FrontPage 2003 and J-Bots

V

VespaBebe

I am using J-Bots 2004 with FrontPage 2003. I have generated a drop down
menu box but not all the links are working properly. When I look at the
code, it's correct but when I check it from the browswer, it is adding
additional folder or sometimes a duplicate folder in its path.

For example:
The drop down for Marketing > mktg/page1.htm
When I view it in Browser, I get a "page not found" error msg, and the
address box says:
mktg/mktg/page1.htm -- so an extra "mktg" has been added.

Any insights would be appreciated, thanks.

Make sure that you have web / site open first before you open a page and use the J-Bot component. or
for that matter any time you work on the content of your web.

If the above doesn't solve your problem, then you need to contact the author of J-Bots.

Thanks for your note but I am not sure what you mean by having web page open.
Of course the page that I am putting the JBot drop down is open, I am doing
it as an include file. I noticed that only one page works well and that the
code shows "includeJump.htm" but on the other pages it shows
"../includeJump.htm".

whenI try to alter it to "includeJump.htm" I get a msg that says:
the FrontPage Include component only works on the current Web site. Pleas
select a page to include from the current site. I am confused, it is an
include page from the current site.

thanks,

I am now not sure this is a J-Bot problem because on its separate htm page,
the drop down menu works beautifully. It's only when combined as an include
page that it goes awry. You can see it in action at
http://www.homteam.com/diversity411/includeJump.htm

You need to contact the author to see how best to use J-Bots in a Include Page / Shared Border.
