Hello,
I'm a little unclear on something and hope that someone here can help.
With FP2003 I can access my WSS site. Using Ctrl-Click I can follow the
links to the Sharepoint contacts page and see the fields and labels there.
What I would like to do is to reorganize the page into something less of a
stacked group of fields and more into something that looks a bit more
logical. Groups of data, address, company info, etc.
I haven't tried this yet but presume that I can move the contents of the
page around as needed. I know that most of WSS is data driven so if I'm
moving things around on a page (Contact or others) I don't assume that I am
changing the underlying database positioning properties. However, if I
alter the page, will it then become a custom page and if so, where do I need
to store it, or does FP2003 and WSS "know" that it's changed and have
"standard" default places for altered pages to be stored?
I'm just getting started on WSS and FP2003 and this info will probably help
in many other areas as well. Also, are there any docs or links to decent
overviews on editing WSS w/ FP2003?
All help will be appreciated,
Rich
