FrontPage 2003 applying a Theme - buttons

Txagclan

Hi - I'm new to the forum, though I've searched through looking for answers
to this question. I've tried what I've read here, and it hasn't worked.

Before I begin - if there is a tutorial included with FrontPage 2003, please
let me know where to access it. I found something at the Microsoft site, but
it's a movie, and since I have dial-up, that wouldn't work for me.

So, here's what I'm trying to do. I created a Theme, with a picture for the
buttons, and it appears the theme saved everything I did. I applied the
theme to my page, but it doesn't give me those buttons. I copied the picture
to the same subfolder, and I did the clip organizer (in case that was the
problem).

I've applied pre-packaged themes, and the program will apply the background
picture, but won't apply the banner options or the button options from those
themes either.

When I tried to apply a different background, the file did say that a theme
had been already applied. If it's applied, then why don't I have the option
to have the cute buttons I created?

Is there a patch? Another step I missed?

I'm brand new to FrontPage, so please explain very clearly.

Thank you much,

Laura (Txagclan)

The "buttons" in a theme are only applied when you use navigation components
(requires that you create a Navigation view)
- add a Nav bar or at the simplest level add shared border with navigation

Try creating a new web using one of the Web Site Templates to see how it works
- or download the older (but similar in many areas) FP 2000 Tutorial
