FrontPage 2003 dies on HTML pages that have special characters in

Solveable? Unknown? Two Issues with FrontPage2003...

One is that if the internet connection temporarily dies then FP locks up and
stops downloading -- could retry every minute or so during a failure. (easy
to fix)

I was downloading delphi.about.com so I would have it locally, and one of
the folders had a mess of characters with a \ in it prior to the .htm suffix.
Naturally it died because it could not create the directory due to all of
the extraneous file namage.

Unless you can make ALL special characters that CAN appear in a URL
allowable as folder names (OS Change [hard to do]), or run a conversion path
when creating and looking for folders (much easier), or totally do away with
folders altogether (doesn't make much sense), delphi.about.com will CONTINUE
to abort when downloading, as will all other sites that circumvent naming
conventions.

Don't want anyone to download your site and render FP ineffective??? Simply
use characters and the '\' character to create folders and FP will crash!
(its download).

If you have FTP access to the site, then you could download the entire site.

that would be a humongous undertaking..delphi.about.com is a huge collection
of forums...if it's the same delphi about that i have forums on.

A \ is not a valid character within a folder name (URL)
- it is reserved as a delimiter for folders

And FP does not support any files starting w/ a .
as in .htm which is what it would parse if it saw:
http://someweb.com/somefile/somebad\folder\.htm
