FrontPage 2003 duplicated my files after a site transfer

Hi, I use FrontPage 2003 for my web site, and I am experiencing some
problems. I just transferred my site to GoDady, and my FrontPage files were
duplicated after the transfer. If I delete a duplicate file, the entire file
is deleted. Does anybody know how to remove the duplicated files without
destroying the original file? Thanks.

Where are/were these duplicate files located within the web structure?

How did you transfer the site to GoDaddy?

If the site was originally hosted on a server that had the FP extensions, then your GoDaddy account
should also have the extensions, then you would have open the original site in FP and then published
it to the new site (GoDaddy).

FYI: There have been many reports here from FP users using GoDaddy with FP extensions to have all
sorts of issue, and basically GoDaddy doesn't seem to offer must support for those users.

Thanks Thomas for the reply. My site was on another provider & the transfer
to GoDady went successfully. I installed the FP extensions & noticed in the
folder on FP, that I now have duplicated files. I even re-installed the FP
extensions, but that did not help. I talked to GoDady but they do not know
what to do. GoDady recommends to re-publish my site. Is re-publishing a good
idea?

Can you give an example of what you consider to be duplicate files?

An example would be having duplicated .htm files in the Folder List. I have
also noticed Thomas, that through the transfer to GoDady, I lost my php blog.
The "blog1" folder still exists, and some pdf files that should not be in the
"blog1" folder, are in the folder. How do I remove the pdf files in the
"blog1" folder and delete the "blog1" folder? Lastly, one of my .htm files
will not allow me to save changes. The computer says a "server conection time
out" for this one file, but the other htm files allow me to save changes.
Please advise. Thanks.
